From seven visionary members to a vibrant movement sheltering over 900 animals — guided by the timeless principle of Ahimsa.

VAPS Mandal was established in 1986 by seven committed individuals who shared a common vision — to serve society through social, religious, and humanitarian activities for the benefit of the public at large.
What began as a modest initiative rooted in faith, unity, and service gradually evolved into a structured movement guided by discipline, dedication, and the timeless Jain principle of Ahimsa (Non-Violence).
From its inception, VAPS Mandal believed that true religious practice must translate into active social responsibility.
The principles that guide every decision, every rescue, and every act of compassion.
To create a compassionate society where every living being is respected, protected, and treated with the dignity they deserve — a world where Ahimsa is not just a principle but a way of life.
By 1993, the strength of the Mandal grew significantly, with membership expanding to 50 dedicated members. This growth reflected a deepening commitment among young members to actively participate in service-oriented initiatives.
Recognising the urgent need to support injured and helpless animals, especially in accident-prone areas, Ambulance Services were formally initiated in 1993 — enabling timely rescue and emergency medical assistance to animals in distress.
Between 1995 and 2001, the Mandal actively organised Pilgrimage Tours, providing spiritual enrichment and fostering unity. In 2003, the revered Shikharji Pilgrimage Tour further reinforced the Mandal's commitment to religious values and collective spiritual growth.

From as early as 1990, VAPS Mandal nurtured a profound dream — to establish a Gaushala and Panjrapole dedicated to the lifelong care and protection of cows and helpless animals.
We provide meaningful jobs that support the local economy, help communities grow, and create stable opportunities for the future.

Today, the dream envisioned decades ago stands fully realised. The Panjrapole shelters and cares for more than 900 cows and other helpless animals, providing them with safe shelter, nutritious fodder, clean water, regular and emergency medical care, and above all — dignity, compassion, and lifelong protection.
The organisation has grown into a strong collective of 218 young and dedicated members residing across Mumbai, Bhilwara, Surat, and Ahmedabad. Despite being geographically dispersed, members remain deeply connected to the mission through regular visits, active participation, and continued social and religious activities.
The mission continues — to protect lives, serve humanity, and uphold Ahimsa in action. Your support makes every rescue possible.
